Halo is arguably one of the most popular first person shooters in the past decade. It’s no wonder why people would want to get their hands on it in anyway possible. Luckily there is a Halo version made for PC; and as we know, you can basically get anything for free if it’s made for PC.
We’re going to run you through some steps to download Halo for free on PC. As always, we can’t guarantee that it’s 100% safe; you should always read the windows when you are downloading something like this. However, this is the best lead we’ve had in regards to downloading Halo for free.
It’s important to note that you may have to download a few other programs such as utorrent in order to download this game in the safest and most effective manner. We usually try to prevent this, but the best link we have found recommends it.
How to Download Halo for Free
Step 1: You will have to download and install utorrent if you’re using the torrent link. You may have another program you prefer, however, for Halo utorrent is the program that we’ve found works best.
Step 2: We have found 2 links that people have had some success with. Choose ONE and download it. You should be able to open the download with utorrent and monitor the progress. Or you can opt to use the 4shared link. You’ll just have to create a free account and log in. Use the link we have provided if you want to use 4shared, then download.
Step 3: If you use utorrent, the file will be downloaded as a .zip file. You will have to find the .zip file and extract the contents. You can do this using 7-zip or your stock program for extracting zipped files. Once you have the files opened from the zipped folder and you’re able to view all of them, find the halo.exe folder and press extract. You will have to select a destination and navigate through the extraction process.
Step 4: After you have extracted all of the files from the halo.exe, you should see everything you need. Right click the file that is labeled halo.exe with the Halo avatar on the logo. Then press “send to” then send it to your desktop. When you find it on your desktop it should look like it’s ready to go.
Step 5: Now play! All you have to do now is right click the program and press “run.” You should be all set. Enjoy!
